If you are shooting a:
30 second video: Up to 25 clips
60 second video: Up to 35 clips
90 second video: Up to 60 clips
120 second video: Up to 80 clips
If you overshoot, those clips will be impossible to use in the editing timeline, therefore making that extra effort not a great use of your time
